When you are planning to use a tent for your business, you will need to find the right one for the specific event in mind. However, the prospect of searching for and finding the right commercial tent can be a bit intimidating. There are a number of different styles to consider, each one having their own advantages and unique characteristics. If you have never purchased a commercial tent in the past, it can be difficult to determine what it is you need; however, the information here will help you select the right tent for your business needs.

Basic Types of Commercial Tents

As with the options that are designed for residential or personal use, finding the right type of commercial tent will be dependent on what you are intending to use it for. In most cases, the tents will fall into one of the three categories.

The Pole Tent

This type of tent is supported by center and perimeter poles and will rely on the tension from some stakes or other type of tie down in order to keep the roof stable. They are extremely popular among business owners because they are lightweight and easy to set up. Some people also prefer them because they are a more cost effective option.

Frame Tents

The frame tent is a way to compensate for the structural limitations of the less expensive pole tent. Since they use tubular metal structures for canopy support, rather than the tension from the stakes, they will not require any type of center pole. You will also be able to install a frame tent next to a building, inside or in a smaller space where the pole tent is not going to fit.

Tension Tents

Structurally speaking, the tension tent is just like the traditional pole tent. They will use center poles and perimeter poles as support and utilize the tension created from the tie downs for keeping the canopy in the proper position. The only practical difference is the peak height. The tension canopies have peaks that are much taller than the pole structures, which is why they are often referred to as a high peak tent.

When you are considering the tent that you need, you have to carefully think about the options that are available. This will help you determine which one is right for your particular event. Keep in mind, if you do not choose the right type of tent for your event, you may not have enough room for everyone, or the tent may not even fit in the space that you have available.
