The Local Recreation Scene
Park City Mountain Resort is located in the region and is a great location for skiing during the winter months. The resort runs year round with plenty of activities for those warm spring and summer days when there isn’t an ounce of snow to be seen. They have the Alpine Slide and zip lines that run throughout the warmer months and the lifts are open as well for some great scenic viewing of the area’s mountains and hills.
Also around in the region is the Deer Valley Resort. It is an equally nice location with great skiing and winter activities during the colder months. If you are looking for an alternate location to visit and you still want to stay in the area then give Deer Valley a look.
A Unique Winter Experience
Soldier Hollow is one of the more unique local resorts in the area and deserves a mention. If you are one of those types of people who just does not care for downhill skiing and prefers to cross country ski instead then Soldier Hallow is the place for you. A resort designed specifically for cross country style that is open year round with both concrete and snow-covered courses for you to explore. The US Ski Team has often used this location a training grounds for the worlds or Olympic competitions.
