The fitness instructors at The MAX Challenge will educate clients about fitness and nutrition. That education will include one-on-one coaching about such matters as correct portion sizes, best foods to eat, and best times to eat.

What Are Some Breakfast Rules for Weight Loss?

The first rule is to have breakfast in the first place. Skipping breakfast leaves people ravenous and more likely to overeat later on. It’s also a good idea to eat breakfast within an hour of waking up to jumpstart the metabolism.

Breakfast should also be high in protein and fiber since both will keep people full longer than carbohydrates will. A good breakfast should contain at least eight grams of fiber and 20 grams of protein. Examples of good breakfast foods include Greek yogurt, eggs, nuts, bananas, and oatmeal.

Foods that contain a lot of water like fresh fruits and vegetables also keep people full longer.

Conversely, don’t eat foods that contain a lot of sugar. They will make the blood sugar levels spike.

Don’t eat breakfast on the go. Put it on the plate or in a bowl and sit down to eat it. Doing so encourages mindful eating, and someone who is paying attention to what they eat and how much they eat is less likely to overeat.

Don’t turn coffee into a dessert by adding flavored creamers, butter, or a lot of sugar. Drink it black or with milk to keep the calories down to a reasonable level.
