1. Walt Disney World Marathon
The largest marathon in Florida takes place at Lake Buena Vista. The course is mostly flat and fast so you get an opportunity to PR at a race that traverses Walt Disney World in Florida. Runners will cover the 4 main Walt Disney World theme parks in this 26.2 mile race. The marathon also covers the famous ESPN Wide World of Sports in Florida.
2. Miami Marathon
The Miami Marathon covers 26.2 miles and is one of the events in Florida that attracts large groups of families. The marathon begins at Biscayne Boulevard and covers a flat course with a few minor climbs. The marathon attracts 3,800 participants and has a low difficulty rating of just 1.50. It also covers the best landmarks and sites in Florida including the Bayfront Park.

This is one of the newest Florida marathons in 2015 and is held at the beautiful Bay Shore. The marathon was held in November this year for the very first time and attracted an impressive number of participants. This race is held to raise money for children and covers the pristine city of Florida. The course layout is loop and it has a very low elevation gain so it’s great for a Boston qualifier race.
5. Space Coast marathon
Space Coast Marathon is one of the oldest races in Florida. The race covers a waterfront course that unleashes the real beauty of the city. It is held at the Kennedy Space Center and is an out and back covering areas like the Cocoa Village and River Drive in Florida.
