Make sure that the groomer sees you clearly before you try to pass or approach the equipment.

It is best not to stop the groomer on the trail unless you absolutely have too. This does not mean that you can stop them to pass the time of day. It is very disrespectful to follow along behind a groomer destroying their freshly groomed trails. If you run across a groomer and have no choice but to ride on the freshly groomed trail, then follow the rules as closely as you can. Make sure to keep your group in a single line, not spread out all across the freshly groomed trail so as to destroy as little as possible.
